Problem with panocube plu on Linux

Invoking Panocube from iys install dir gives me:

./PanoCube ~/JUNK/Photos/Aviemore/test.jpg

Converting Image 0 5%Please set Panorama width/height
./PanoCube: cannot open file `/home/peterg/JUNK/Photos/Aviemore/pcube_1.JPG' for reading (No such file or directory) (error #442 at 8058ab7)

Any help would be welcome.
