Panolink not linking

I have created two Quicktime movie files, one to link to the second using the script below

2 200 300 500 700 general.mov+
@p123t-15f70c+j+

As I pan around the first movie the pointer changes to another pointer at the hotspot, but nothing happens when I click the mouse button.
Whats the problem?
I'm using Windows XP and Quicktime 7.1.3
